MATERIALS LIST

  1. Hook - Daiichi 1270, Muatad 80050BR, Orvis 1510, Tiemco 200R. Size 4 to 10.

  2. Thread - Black 6/0.

  3. Tail - Olive green saddle hackle/peacock Krystal Flash.

  4. Ribbing - Flashabou twist - blue/green.

  5. Body - Olive green chenille.

  6. Hackle - Blue Pheasant rump feathers.

TYING INSTRUCTION

  1. Insert the hook in the vise and build a good thread base.

  2. Tail - Tie in the tail about the length of the hook shank at the hook's bend and tie in two strands of Krystal Flash, at the tail tie in, on each side of the tail.

  3. Ribbing - Tie in two strands of Flashabou Weave at the tail tie in.

  4. Body - Tie in the chenille, wrap forward normal head space, secure with tying thread and trim the exess.

  5. Ribbing - Spiral the two strands of Krystal Flash to the front of the chenille body in 5 turns, secure with tying thread and trim the excess.

  6. Hackle - Tie in hackle by the tips, fold the barbs back with your fingers, wrap to the hook's eye, secure with tying thread, trim the excess and form a tapered tying thread head. Whip finish and cement if you like.
