MATERIALS LIST

  1. Hook - Daiichi 1270, Mustad 80050BR, Avalon A1270, Orvis 1510, Tiemco 200R

  2. Thread - Med olive 8/0

  3. Tail - Grizzly marabou

  4. Abdomen - Spectral Blend dk. olive

  5. Thorax - Spectral Blend pale yellow

  6. Wing Case - Natural CDC

TYING INSTRUCTION

  1. Secure a hook in the vice, attach the thread, and build a thread base that ends at hook's bend.

  2. Tail - Tie in 1/2 of a small grizzly marabou feather at hook's bend.

  3. Abdomen - Dub a loose body 3/4 hook's shank length.

  4. Wing case/legs - Tie in four CDC feathers by the butts, about tail's length, at the front of the body.

  5. Thorax - Dub a loose, fuzzy, thorax forward to the rear of normal head space.

  6. Wingcase - Pull the CDC toward the front of the thorax and secure with tying thread.

  7. Legs - Divide the CDC feathers equally, hold each half along the side of the body, and secure into place with tying thread.

  8. Head - Build a small, tapered tying thread head, and whip finish.
